EDUCATION PROGRAM

Virtual and In-Class Programs

Can’t make it to the museum? Some program activities are available virtually or for in-class visits. We are happy to work within your curriculum and time constraints to provide a fun and educational experience.

The following programs can be led by the Waterworks Museum staff, with some modifications, in your classroom:

A Raindrop’s Journey (PreK – 1st)
Water and the 3 States of Matter (PreK – 1st)
Sink or Float (PreK – 1st)
What’s an Engineer? (PreK – 1st)
Simple Machines (Grades 2 – 4)
The Great Water Debate (Grades 6 – 8)
Taking Action for Safe Water (Grades 6 – 12)
Under Pressure: Engineering Safe Water Access (Grades 8 – 12)
Protecting Water at the Source (Grades 8 – 12)

Standard program fees apply.

The following programs can be led by the Waterworks Museum staff, with some modifications, virtually:

A Raindrop’s Journey, 45 min (PreK – 1st)
Water and the 3 States of Matter, 45 min (PreK – 1st)
Sink or Float, 45 min (PreK – 1st)
Simple Machines, 1 hour (Grades 2 – 4)
Welcome to the Water System, 1 hour (Grades 2 – 5)
The Great Water Debate, 1 hour (Grades 6-8)
Protecting Water at the Source, 1 hour (Grades 8-12)

All virtual programs incur a flat fee of $25 for up to 30 students in one session. If you have more than 30 students, we recommend scheduling a second session.

In some cases, the museum may be able to provide you with materials to use during your virtual program. Drop off and pick up of materials can be scheduled in advance of the program date. If you choose to use museum materials for the program, there will be an additional fee of $5-$15 depending on the program and number of students.
