EVENT
Waterworks Preschool Summer Series
A Raindrop’s Journey
July 2, 2020
10:00 AM–10:45 AM
It’s once again time for our Preschool Summer Series! This year, since the museum will not be able to open for visitors until at least the end of June, we will be running several sessions of our preschool series online through the Zoom platform.
Join the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum’s education staff to learn how water gets from a rain cloud to your home!
First, we will read A Raindrop’s Journey. Then, we will move like a raindrop through the water cycle. Finally, we will make our own water system “maps.” Recommended for ages 3-6. You can purchase a $4 ticket for this session at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/waterworks-museum-preschool-summer-series-a-raindrops-journey-tickets-106136751882
Given the virtual nature of these fun and hands-on educational STEM programs, participants will need to assemble some materials from home to fully experience each program. Check the description of the program before signing up to make sure you have everything you need! Once you have purchased a ticket, you will be sent a link to access the session through Zoom and any materials that need to be printed at home.
If you have any questions about the Preschool Summer Series, please feel free to email our education manager Tracy at tracy.lindboe@waterworksmuseum.org.

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
