Tricks and Treats
October 26, 2024
11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Calling all werewolves, zombies, and mad scientists! Join us at the Waterworks Museum for a ghoulishly good time at our Tricks and Treats event on Saturday, October 26th from 11am – 3pm! Decorate your very own treat bag and then collect candy while exploring some spooky science and trying your hand (or claws) at special crafts and activities, including making spooky skeletons, balloon rocket bats, and microbe monsters. You can also play fun Halloween-themed games and even win some prizes! We will also be offering special access to the Allis Pumps in the basement, which is not usually open to visitors. Just make sure to watch out for ghosts (and vampires)!

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
