EVENT
Summer Science Series: Filter Build Challenge (ages 7-12)
July 14, 2021
10:00 am–10:45 am
Join Waterworks Museum education staff live at the museum as we explore different filter media and make our own water filters.
After reviewing several different filter media, participants will work to build a water filter that can produce the largest amount of clean water possible in 30 seconds. Then, we will discuss some modern methods of cleaning and disinfecting water both in the Boston waterworks system and around the world. This program is recommended for ages 7-12.
Cost: $7 per participant. All participants may be accompanied by up to two adults at no additional charge. In accordance with the Governor’s latest mask advisory, face coverings for this event are only required for those over two years of age who have not yet been vaccinated.
To see more sessions in this series, check Wednesdays at 10 am in July on our events calendar.
