How does Water get to my Home?
July 11, 2019
10:15am–11:00am
Calling all toddlers, tots, and preschoolers ages 3-6! Grab your favorite adult and join us Thursday mornings this summer from 10:15am – 11:00am as we explore water and the waterworks in fun, new ways!
Each session will include Storytime, an activity, and a take-home craft! Participation is Free (Suggested Donation: $3 per child)
At this session on July 11, we will be reading “A Raindrop’s Journey” by Suzanne Slade. We will take on the role of a raindrop, learning about the water cycle and journeying through a waterworks jungle gym. Then, we’ll make our own waterworks maps.

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
