Phoenix Orchestra Presents: A Night at the Museum
April 1, 2023
8:00pm–10:00pm
It’s NOT an April Fools joke! But we are playing a little trick . . .
The Phoenix Orchestra is so excited to be returning to the magnificent Metropolitan Waterworks Museum in Chestnut Hill for a program, they’re keeping a secret until you come to the show. What they will tell you is that you will get to hear music written by Phoenix favorites Ludwig van Beethoven, Julius Eastman, Eric Nathan, Caroline Shaw, and Julia Wolfe.
“Throughout the night, music spanning three centuries will pop up around the museum, transforming your evening into an immersive escape of music and libations in an otherworldly space. We’ve catered the whole program to perfectly match the resonant acoustic that comes from the museum’s mammoth brick enclosure. This concert also showcases the return of our partnership with our friends at Bully Boy Distillers. They’ll be serving up craft cocktails for all to enjoy.”
Tickets: $30 ($10 for students)

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
