EVENT
Not-So-Creepy Crawlies
at the Waterworks
October 26, 2019
11:00 am–4:00 pm
Halloween is a time to celebrate all things creepy and crawly! Join us for some fun activities and learn about the microscopic creatures that live in our water. They may look like creepy crawly monsters, but these tiny harmless animals play an important part in our ecosystem!
Drop in any time between 11 am – 4 pm on Saturday, October 26th to design your own microscopic creatures, see microscopic water dwellers under a microscope, create a fuzzy microbe to take home – and of course, no celebration of the creepy and crawly would be complete without making some slime! Halloween Candy will also be available to all participants.

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
