Concert by German Pianist Clemens Teufel

Join us for a concert at the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum, where we’ll be enjoying 19th century music surrounded by architecture and steam engines of that era. German concert pianist Clemens Teufel will perform music of different styles, including water-related compositions:
R. Schumann: Scenes from Childhood
F. Chopin: Nocturne Op. 9/1, Prelude Op. 28, No. 15 “Raindrop”, Etude Op. 25/12 “Ocean”
F. Liszt: Au lac de Wallenstadt, Orage and Vallee d’Obermann
C. Debussy: L’Isle Joyeuse
The even will be held in the Great Engines Hall of the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum on Sunday, April 28th, 4:30 – 5:30 PM.

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
