Congratulations to the MWRA School Contest Winners!
The Waterworks Museum wishes to congratulate the amazing efforts of the students, teachers, and families, who were recognized by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) in their 2016-2017 School Poster, Writing, and Video Contest. The theme this year was “Whatever the Weather,” and highlighted the fact that the MWRA works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year to bring clean water to the 2.5 million people of 61 communities in Greater Boston! The contest was organized by the MWRA School Program.
Students from Kindergarten through the 12th grade submitted essays, pictures, and videos for review and 44 were recognized for their excellence. The full list of the winners is available here. Our own Executive Director Barbara Elfman attended the awards ceremony at the MWRA Deer Island facility on May 26 to cheer for the winners and to invite the families back to the Waterworks Museum, where many of the submissions will be on view through the first part of the summer.
The Waterworks is thrilled to celebrate the winners of the MWRA School Contest this year!
