Summer Science Series: What’s in My Watershed? (ages 7-12)

Join Waterworks Museum Staff live at the museum as we learn about watersheds!
Participants in this program will conduct their own lab tests on water from a nearby stream. Then, with the help of our large-scale watershed model, they’ll see how various pollutants can impact our water system and consider what kinds of things both water experts and the public alike can do to stop them. This program is recommended for ages 7-12.
Cost: $7 per participant. All participants may be accompanied by up to 2 adults at no additional charge.
In accordance with the Governor’s latest mask advisory, face coverings for this event are only required for those over two years of age who have not yet been vaccinated.

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
