Blast off! Exploring Pressure with Pumps and Balloon Rockets (Virtual)

February 17, 2021

10:00 am

Join Waterworks Museum Staff for a fun look at pressure! We’ll be taking a look at some of the science behind how pressure was used in the Waterworks’ steam engines and how pressure is used in Rocket Ships. Then, we’ll be making Balloon Rockets. This 30-40 minute workshop is recommended for kids ages 5-12. Parental assistance recommended for younger participants.

Please note that this is a VIRTUAL program. You will be sent a link to access the class after you have purchased a ticket.

You can choose to use your own materials from home, or pick up a kit with everything you need curbside at the Waterworks Museum (2450 Beacon Street, Boston, MA). More information about kit pickup will be sent to you if you choose this option.
