No Access Boston Book Release

The Museum is hosting a book launch party celebrating the release of Maria Olia’s latest book “No Access Boston” at the Waterworks Museum on Wednesday, June 19th at 7PM. The book is all about Boston’s hidden, unusual, and little-known places. The Waterworks Museum is prominently featured along with beautiful photographs by our own Linda Rosenthal. Among the other sites profiled are the Fenway Victory Gardens and Bear Cage Hill at Franklin Park. Maria will be reading, answering questions and signing copies of her books. Light refreshments will be served. Guides will be happy to show visitors around. Free.

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
