Preschoolers at the Waterworks

Calling all toddlers, tots, and preschoolers ages 3-6! Grab your favorite adult and join us Thursday mornings this summer from 10:15am – 11:00am as we explore water and the waterworks in fun, new ways!
Each session will include Storytime, an activity, and a take-home craft! Participation is Free (Suggested Donation: $3 per child)
At this last session on August 8, we will read “Just Ducks!” by Nicola Davies. We will learn about some of our animal neighbors around the Chestnut Hill Reservoir and go on a Nature Scavenger Hunt. Then we will make animal masks.

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
