Saving Water
July 18, 2019
10:15am–11:00am
Calling all toddlers, tots, and preschoolers ages 3-6! Grab your favorite adult and join us Thursday mornings this summer from 10:15am – 11:00am as we explore water and the waterworks in fun, new ways!
Each session will include Storytime, an activity, and a take-home craft! Participation is Free (Suggested Donation: $3 per child)
At this session on July 18, we will be reading “Why Should I Save Water?” by Jen Green. We will learn about how much water we might waste or save through a game about our daily routines. Then we will decorate planters as a special place to dump our excess water.

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
