Be an Engineer!

Calling all toddlers and preschoolers! Grab your favorite adult and join us at the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum this summer for stories, crafts, and activities about water and the waterworks. For this week’s program, “Be an Engineer,” join our education team to find out what it takes to be an engineer. Learn about pulleys and make a cardboard car! Participation is FREE! (Suggested Donation: $3 per child)

Moving Water: From Ancient Innovations to Modern Challenges
Ancient civilizations engineered water systems that sustained communities for thousands of years. This exhibition spotlights six places that innovated ways to deliver, and control water for human use. It also looks at how climate change is impacting all of those places, forcing public officials to consider new ways to keep the water flowing.
