The Metropolitan Waterworks Museum invites you to explore Resilient Design in Boston: Solutions for Our Changing Landscape!
The new exhibit in the Overlook Gallery highlights the winners of the Boston Living with Water resilient deign contest that was held in 2015. The panels focus on inventive approaches to design solutions for rising sea levels and changing climate in our coastal city. How do we live with this water? The architects, planners, and designers offer insights into stemming the tide and creating livable, urban spaces.
On display through December 31, 2017.
With a stunning view of the Great Engine Hall through a wall of glass, the Overlook Gallery serves as a conference room and a place for large temporary exhibits. This room also allows for close examination of the exquisite detail on the Leavitt-Reidler pumping engine, a National Mechanical Engineering Landmark.
