Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Waterworks Museum, the birthplace of the water revolution in Boston! Within our landmark historic building in Boston, we preserve the monumental steam engines and historic artifacts that tell the story of how clean, safe drinking water was engineered for Boston and surrounding towns, beginning in the 19th century.
We are a dynamic organization that welcomes and supports our many volunteers — offering them unique experiences, fun opportunities, and the excitement of engaging with more than 10,000 visitors per year!
We ask that you commit to a minimum of two 2.5 hour shifts per month to remain an active volunteer on our roster. In return, we welcome you to a corps of dedicated volunteers who really are the steam in our engines!
Please fill out the requested information and our volunteer coordinator will contact you about scheduling an introduction to the Waterworks Museum.
